We may share your information in the following ways:
When a merchant installs our Shopify app, we process information about that merchant's own customers on the merchant's behalf. In this relationship the merchant is the data controller and BizMation acts as a data processor, handling the data only on the merchant's instructions.
What we collect through the order form: the customer's name, phone number, delivery address and, where the merchant enables the field, email address. We also record the product, variant and quantity ordered, together with technical information such as IP address, browser user agent, the page the order was placed from, and campaign parameters carried in the page address (for example utm_source or advertising click identifiers).
Incomplete orders: if a customer begins filling in the order form but does not complete it, we save what was entered so that the merchant can follow up about the intended order. These records are treated exactly like completed orders for security, retention and erasure.
Why we process it: solely so the merchant can create, confirm and deliver the customer's cash-on-delivery order, and contact the customer about that order.
Who we share it with: the data is sent only to that merchant's own BizMation account. We do not sell it, share it with advertisers, use it for advertising or profiling, or combine one merchant's customer data with another's.
Customer rights: customers who ordered from a store using our app should contact that store to access or erase their data. We support Shopify's mandatory privacy requests (customers/data_request, customers/redact and shop/redact) and action them promptly when a merchant or Shopify sends them to us.
We take the security of your data seriously. All data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS/TLS connections. Access to our servers is restricted to authorised personnel using key-based authentication, our databases are not reachable from the public internet, and each merchant's data is isolated so that one merchant can never access another merchant's information. Our database backups are encrypted with AES-256 encryption. We keep our systems patched with automatic security updates and monitor for unauthorised access attempts.
We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected. After that, we will securely delete or anonymize your data.
For data processed through our Shopify app, records are retained while the merchant's store has the app installed. When a merchant uninstalls the app, we delete that store's data within 48 hours of receiving Shopify's erasure request. We also action individual customer erasure requests as described below.
